GBARNGA, November 26 (LINA) – Act Alliance-Liberia has donated food and non-food items to a number of communities and institutions in Bong County to boost the fight against the Ebola virus.

They included 140 bags of 25 kg rice, 125 pieces of hand washing buckets, 201gallons of vegetable oil and 14 cartons of Clorox.

Presenting the materials, Act Alliance-Liberia Emergency Focal Person Vandi Kallon, said the donation is intended to help government eradicate the Ebola virus
that has claimed the lives of many Liberians.

Responding on behalf of health workers at the C.B. Dunbar Hospital, Samuel Dukuly thanked Act Alliance for the donation and promised to make good use of the items.

In support of the unit’s operation and maintenance, it also donated a consignment of drugs and medical supplies valued at US$9,000 and rice for families of health workers victimized by the virus valued at US$1,500.

It also provided US$26,000 and US$17,000 for both Phebe and Curran Lutheran Hospitals respectively as risk benefits for health workers.
