23 Quarantined Persons Threaten Protest In Robertsport
By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, November 26 (LINA) -Twenty-three persons quarantined in the Central Ward Community in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County have threatened to break the process if the County Health Team (CHT) fails to provide them food and water.

This was disclosed by the head of the quarantined people, Edwin Fahnbulleh, in an interview Tuesday with the Liberia News Agency correspondent in Grand Cape Mount County.

Fahnbulleh alleged that since the CHT placed them under quarantine on November 15 they have not received any assistance from it.

He threatened that if the CHT and the county leadership do not provide them food and water they would have no alternative but to leave the quarantine area to search for food.

Fahnbulleh said since they were placed under quarantine the community has prevented them from fetching water from their wells, noting that this was creating hardship for them.

He said besides food and water, the County Health Team has also failed to provide them medical treatment.

When contacted Wednesday, Superintendent Imam Mohamed Paasewe assured that plans are in place to address the plight of the quarantined people this week.
