Pres. Sirleaf Throws Weight Behind UP Senatorial Candidates

MONROVIA, November 25 (LINA) - In the wake of the official launch of the campaign for the special senatorial elections, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated candidates contesting on the ticket of the ruling Unity Party (UP).

According to an Executive Mansion release, the Liberian leader, who is standard bearer of the UP, called on partisans throughout the 15 counties to support their party’s candidates.

President Sirleaf expressed confidence that the UP candidates will emerge victorious in the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, President Sirleaf has assured all candidates of the UP of her support as they campaign to bring victory to the party, and wished them success.
