Commissioner Pats Security For Crime Reduction

By D. Ignatius Roberts, Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, Jan 30 (LINA) -The Commissioner of Tewor Statutory District in Grand Cape Mount County, Magdalene Hajah Fahnbulleh, has commended the joint security assigned in the district for their professional performance that has resulted in the reduction of crime in the area.

She said despite the shortage of security vehicles for constant patrols in various localities in the district, the security officers are using motorcycles and sometimes walk to battle criminals and their activities.

Madame Fahnbulleh, who made the commendation on Wednesday in an interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA) correspondent in Grand Cape Mount County, said because of the sterling performance of the security force, crime rate has reduced substantially in the district.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Fahnbulleh is appealing to national security agencies in the country to help the security assigned in the district with logistics, including vehicles, to enhance their operations.

She has also called on citizens of the district to formulate programs that will buttress government’s effort to fight crimes for the betterment of all.
