Judge Urges Respect For Ebola Preventive Measures
By Richard D. Baysah, LINA Margibi County Correspondent

KAKATA, November12 (LINA) - The Resident Judge of the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Margibi County, Mardea Tarr Chenoweth, is admonishing Liberians to respect the Ebola preventive measures prescribed by the Health Ministry.

She said the World Health Organization’s (WHO) announcement of a reduction of Ebola cases does not mean that Liberia is Ebola free, adding “Ebola is very serious and real and still exists.”

Judge Chenoweth made the call Tuesday in Kakata when she delivered the Judge’s charge at the opening of the Circuit for its November Term of Court.

“Continue to wash your hands, do not shake hands with people, do not entertain strangers until you know their health status, do not touch sick people and do not bathe or bury dead bodies,” Judge Chenoweth cautioned.

Judge Chenoweth thanked the international community for its significant contributions and efforts to calm the health crisis in Liberia, terming it as “timely, highly needed and appreciated.”

Responding, the Dean of the local bar, Margibi County Attorney Isaac Liverpool George, assured his office’s full cooperation with the court during the Term.
