By Korboi K. Gbelewala, Lofa County Correspondent

VOINJAMA, November 11 (LINA)- Participants at a community leaders forum in Voinjama, Lofa County have recommended the setting up of committees to provide support to quarantined community members in Lofa County.

The recommendation is one of five action plans advanced during a three-hour community leaders’ forum facilitated by an organization of Lofa Citizens, LOFANET, with funding from the international NGO IREX in Voinjama Monday, to respond to conditions created by the deadly
Ebola virus in the county.

IREX is a US-based nonprofit organization committed to international education in academic research, professional training and technical assistance.

According to the Liberia News Agency, the participants also recommended the identification of orphans; refer them to care giving organizations; and, to trace persons who have come in contact with Ebola patients or dead bodies in their various communities.

They also urged parents to organize study classes for their children to keep them busy and to encourage survivors certificated by the Case Management Center in the county.

Meanwhile, participants have been urged to share with their kinsmen the knowledge they have acquired from the forum.
