Neezoe Community Intensifies Anti-Ebola Fight Despite Being Ebola Free
By Calvin Brooks

MONROVIA, Nov 2 (LINA)-A group called Youth for Positive Change (YPC) in Montserrado County District #3 has disclosed that no Ebola case has been reported in the Neezoe Community since the outbreak of the disease in the country in March.

The Youth Advisor of YPC, Alphonso Derklah, said the group has intensified its anti-Ebola campaign in the Neezoe Community to prevent the spread of the deadly disease there.

According to the YPC Advisor, the anti-Ebola campaign is intended to ensure that the Neezoe Community continues to be free from Ebola, especially in the wake of reports that Ebola infection and death rates are declining in the country.

Derklah told LINA Saturday that the young folks were able to educate Community residents initially about the preventive messages to protect them from contracting the virus.

He said the YPC has also been active in providing anti-Ebola materials for some community dwellers who could not afford to buy these materials.

Meanwhile, Derklah is urging Liberians not be carried away by the latest report from the World Health Organization (WHO) that the infection and death rates from Ebola in Liberia are dropping, but rather continue to adhere to the preventive measures outlined by the health ministry until Liberia is declared Ebola-free by the WHO.
