Pres. Sirleaf Congratulates Indonesian President Widodo

MONROVIA, October 31 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated Mr. Joko Widodo on his inauguration as President of Indonesia.

In a message to President Widodo, President Sirleaf extended best wishes on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in her own name, for his preferment.

The Liberian leader indicated that Mr. Widodo‘s victory is a clear manifestation of the confidence the Indonesian people have in his ability to lead them, according to a Foreign Ministry release.
The Liberian leader said she looks forward to working closely with the Indonesian leader in further cementing the long-standing ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.
