Bong Ebola Taskforce Relaxes Restriction On Motorcyclists
By Ballah Kollie, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, October 30 (LINA) - The Bong County Ebola Task Force has readjusted by two hours the parking time for motorcyclists in the county.

They will now leave the streets at 9:00 p.m., instead of 7:00 p.m.

In August, the Task Force cut back the parking time from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., alleging the motorcyclists were transporting suspected Ebola patients in and out of the county at night.

The Ebola Task Force announced the latest adjustment Tuesday at its regular meeting in Gbarnga, Bong County following weeks of negotiations between the motorcyclists union and the Task Force.

The union’s president, Samuel Elliott, thanked the Task Force for the decision, noting that the restriction had caused “serious financial hardship for the motorcyclists.”
