Court Orders 5 Arrested For Alleged Attempted Murder
By Comfort M. Johnson

MONROVIA, October 22 (LINA) -The Criminal Court “A” at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia has ordered the arrest of five men for their alleged link to the attempted murder of Windy Pupo in Paynesville early this year.

The Court’s decision Wednesday was based on the indictment of Daniel Gaye, Joe Deddlay, Slash Gastro, and a Nigerian man, who is said to be on the run.

The indictment said co- defendant Joe D    eddlay on February 19 induced complainant Pupo under the pretext of chartering his vehicle to take him and his accomplices to an entertainment center in the Paynesville area.

According to the indictment, Deddlay conspired with accomplices Gaye, Slash, Gastro and the unidentified Nigerian man to inflict bodily injuries on Pupo to prevent them from paying him for the services rendered.

Mr. Pupo sustained severe injuries that nearly claimed his life.

Meanwhile, two of the alleged criminals have secured temporary release after filing a criminal appearance bond valued at L$1,500 and US$1,500 at the Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice where the matter was first heard.
