Bomi Supt. Orders Markets Re-opened
By David Seedee, Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, October 22(LINA) – Bomi County Superintendent Samuel Folley Brown has ordered the reopening of the Klay, Sasstown, and Gbar Markets in Bomi County.

The Superintendent ordered the closure of the three markets following the outbreak of the Ebola virus in the county in June, 2014, according to the Liberia News Agency.

Superintendent Brown gave the order on Tuesday at the Liberia Government Hospital during the County Ebola Task Force Regular Meeting in Tubmanburg.

Superintendent Brown said given the present situation and the safe environment prevailing in the county, it was necessary to reopen the markets.

He, however, said authorities of the county and the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA) Bomi County branch will observe the situation during transactions at the markets.

Superintendent Brown urged authorities of the LMA to continue to remind the marketers to observe the Ebola preventive measures to contain the spread of the disease.
