By D. Ignatius Robert, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent
ROBERTSPORT, October 21(LINA) – Grand Cape Mount County Health Team (CHT) has quarantined over 200 persons from the five statutory districts after contact tracing showed they came into contact with suspected and confirmed Ebola patients.
Acting Administrator of the CHT John Kallon made the disclosure in his Ebola up-date report at the county’s Ebola Task Force Coordination Meeting held in Sinje recently, according to LINA.
Kallon told the meeting that the report, which covers October 1-7, 2014, is from Tewor, Commonwealth, Gola Konneh, Porkpa and Garwula districts.
He said during the period under review, there were 19 deaths, 10 probable and confirmed cases, while a total of 17 specimens were taken from both suspected patients and dead bodies. The results are pending, he said.
Meanwhile, Kallon has admonished health workers in the county to return to work to ensure that health facilities that were shut down as a result of the Ebola outbreak are reopened.
