22 Deaf, Dumb Benefit From Ebola Workshop
By Johnson Liway, LINA Grand Bassa County Correspondent

BUCHANAN, October 20 (LINA) – Twenty-two deaf and dumb students from Buchanan and its environs have attended a one-day Ebola awareness workshop to enlighten them on the disease.

Speaking to reporters at the end of the workshop at the weekend, the organizer Jackson Willie said it is important for the deaf and dumb to also be informed about the Ebola virus and how it can be prevented because they are a part of the society.

Willie, who operates the Buchanan School of Deaf in Corn Farm in Buchanan,
said if people are not informed about the disease, they will be vulnerable and have slim chance of surviving the virus.

Willie called on philanthropists, local and international non-governmental organizations to support his institution in providing education for the deaf and dumb in society.
