Bomi County ETU Nearing Completion

TUBMANBURG, October 20 (LINA) -The 100-bed Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) currently under construction in Tubmanburg, Bomi County is expected to be opened to the public in two weeks.

United States Army Major Ben Hendricks said the Bomi ETU is one of 17 Units the United States Government will construct across Liberia.

According to Major Hendricks, eight of the centers will be constructed in the southeastern counties, while the others will be scattered around the country.

Major Hendricks said a joint team comprising the Engineering Battalion of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) and the US Army will construct the ETUs in the various counties.

Major Hendricks disclosed that the ETUs will comprise care centers, a training hall and laboratory facilities, among others.
