Senator Donates Two Ambulances To Cape Mount
By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent
ROBERTSPORT, October 16 (LINA) - Grand Cape Mount County Senator Edward Dargoseh has purchased two ambulances costing US$110,000 for the County Health Team (CHT).
Each of the ambulances costs US$55,000, and according to the Liberia News Agency correspondent in Grand Cape Mount County, the first will arrive in the country early next week, while the other will arrive two weeks later.
Disclosing this during an Ebola Task Force coordination meeting in Sinje Town, Garwula District Wednesday, Dargoseh said the vehicles are a personal contribution to the CHT to facilitate the transportation of Ebola patients.
He said waiting for an ambulance to transport Ebola dead bodies or patient to Monrovia or other parts of the country and the hazards associated with the process could be another contributing factor for transmission of the virus.
He said the fight against the spread of the deadly disease in the society should be the primary concern of every Liberian and not just the government, international community and other partners.
The arrival of the two expected ambulances will bring to three the number of ambulances in Grand Cape Mount County.
