Man, 40, Arrested For Alleged Drug Trafficking

ROBERTSPORT, October 16 (LINA) -A 40-year-old man has been arrested by the Joint Security in Grand Cape Mount County for alleged possession of 19 kilos of marijuana worth L$199,500.
Mohammed G. Swaray, a resident of Bo Waterside, Tewor District, was arrested Monday at the checkpoint in Sinje, Garwula District while traveling from Bo Waterside to Monrovia.
A report availed to the Liberia News Agency in Grand Cape Mount Count noted that during a search of the vehicle in which Swaray was riding, the Joint Security discovered the illegal substance and arrested him.
The vehicle has been impounded and the drug now in the possession of the Joint Security at the check point as Fruit of Crime (FOC), while Swaray is still in police custody undergoing security investigation.
Joint Security sources told LINA that Swaray will be sent to the Madina Magisterial Court for prosecution in accordance with the law.
