Vahun Citizens Commend Gov’t, Partners For Ebola Fight

VOINJAMA, October 12 (LINA)-Citizens of Vahun District in Lofa Countyhave commended the Liberian government and international partners for
the care they have demonstrated for citizens of Lofa County and the country at large in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus.
Speaking at a meeting Friday in Vahun, the spokesman for the citizens, Kalifa Kamara, noted that it was necessary to commend government and
international partners because their role in the fight against Ebola has brought relief to the people of Lofa County.
Oldman Kamara emphasized that the decrease in Ebola cases was bringing some economic relief to people of the county.
According to the Liberia News Agency, Oldman Kamara said although there has been no reported Ebola case in Vahun district since the
outbreak of the deadly virus, the district will continue taking preventive measures to avoid an outbreak of the disease in the district.
He said the people of Vahun were excited about the rapid decrease in the number of Ebola cases in Lofa County, noting that the government and its partners should be commended for this development.
Meanwhile, Kamara is calling on parents in Lofa County to advise their children who are in the habit of making reckless statements against the government to desist.
He encouraged them to engage in awareness and sensitization that could help move Lofa County forward in the fight against Ebola.
