Pres. Sirleaf Donates To Health Centers In Nimba

SANNIQUELLIE, October 9 (LINA) -The Chief Medical Officer of Arcelor Mittal Hospital, Dr. Valentine Sawyer, has lauded President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for donating supplies to the hospital in Yekepa to help it fight the Ebola disease.
The Liberia News Agency correspondent reports that Dr. Sawyer that the ArcelorMittal facility was among several hospitals and clinics in Nimba County that received Ebola-related supplies during President Sirleaf’s earlier visit to the County.
President Sirleaf made a day-long visit to Nimba County Tuesday to sympathize with family members who have lost their loved ones to the Ebola disease that has claimed the lives of more than 100 citizens, according to medical reports.
Dr. Sawyer did not state the cost of the supplies and how much was presented, but told the Liberia News Agency that the supplies and cash donated by the President would be used for the intended purposes.
During the visit, President Sirleaf toured some health facilities in Nimba, including the Ganta United Methodist Hospital, host of the Ganta Ebola Holding Center, the George W. Harley Hospital in Sanniquellie, and the Arcelor Mittal Hospital in Yekepa.
