By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, October 6 (LINA) -The First Baptist Mambo Church of Liberia has donated drugs and assorted materials to four clinics in Tewor District in Grand Cape Mount County to enhance their fight against the Ebola virus.

The consignment includes analgesics, antibiotics, fluids, syringes and needles, PPEs and hand gloves.

The Commissioner of Tewor District, Magdalene H. Fahnbulleh, said the items will be given to the Mambo, Jenewonde, Bangorma and Gornolor clinics.

Speaking during the County Ebola Task Force Coordination Meeting held in Sinje Town Sunday, Fahnbulleh said the supplies will be used to treat regular ailments, while the PPEs and hand gloves will be used by health practitioners to prevent them from contracting the Ebola virus.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Fahnbulleh has disclosed that of the 11 clinics in the district, nine are now fully operational, while two remain closed.

She said since the outbreak of the Ebola virus in the country in Marc, the district has recorded five confirmed deaths from the disease, while four are suspected cases.
