NVTP Training Youths in Driving, Computer Science
By David Seedee, Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, Jan 24 (LINA) - The Executive Director of the National Vocational Training Program (NVTP) in Bomi County, Stephen Peters, has disclosed that the group is training youths in driving and computer literacy.

Mr. Peters said 100 youths are currently participating in the training program between Klay and Tubmanburg.

Speaking in an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Klay on Friday, Peters said the program has two phases – theory and practice.

He said the trainees undergo the theoretical aspect of the program and then begin the practical after that stage.

Peters said the program is targeting less fortunate youths who are unable to obtain higher education now due to lack funding, noting that the best students will be recommended to organizations and institutions for possible employment.

The Executive Director said the training lasts for six weeks and certificates of achievement are awarded to successful candidates.
