ROBERTSPORT, October 4 (LINA) - Grand Cape Mount County Ebola Task Force head, Mohammed A. Paasewe, has said the absence of the County’s Legislative Caucus at the local Ebola Task Force meetings was a bottleneck to coordination of the work at hand.
Paasewe, who is also County Superintendent, said during the meetings the task force is faced with concerns as to whether the Caucus would acknowledge work being done by the group.
According to the Liberia News Agency, Superintendent Paasewe made the
statement at the latest Ebola coordination meeting held in Sinje, Garwula District at the weekend.
Paasewe pointed out that in order to eradicate the virus, there was a need for collective efforts by every individual and authority of the county.
He said the next meeting scheduled for October 8 in Sinje Town will focus on briefing the Caucus on gains and losses the county has experienced since the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus.
“We also need to coordinate and see how best an Ebola withholding center can be established which will help us quarantine suspected and probable cases in their areas, so as to contain the spread of the virus,” he said.
