 “Liberia Wining Ebola Crisis,”-Minister Jackson

By Wilfred Gortor

TUBMANBURG, October 4 (LINA) -“Liberia’s quest to defeat the deadly Ebola virus is proving successful due to tangible evidences which show that several Liberian doctors now understand how to battle the virus,” Deputy Information Minister for Public Affairs, Isaac Jackson, has said.

The Minister observed that more Liberian doctors are becoming heroes and are striving to liberate the country from the threat that the disease poses to the existence of the nation.

He made the statement at the Ministry of Information daily Ebola briefing held at the premises of the Liberia government hospital in Tubmanburg, Bomi County on Friday.

Jackson’s statement was in adoration to the Bomi County Health Officer, Dr. Gorbee Logan, and Liberians health workers who have stood in the vanguard to firmly battle and contain the Ebola virus.

Dr. Logan, who earlier discharged 11 Ebola survivors from a community care center in Bomi County, conducted series of self-guided medical protocols which proved to be effective to the survival of the patients.

Jackson insisted that government will continue to do all it can to gather more resources to combat the disease, pointing out that “Ebola cannot be defeated if Liberians are not in the forefront to lead the war against the virus.”

He alluded to the work of Dr. Logan as “outstanding”, describing him as a “distinguish anti-Ebola warrior who name is gradually being recorded into the history of Liberia.”

Meanwhile, the Minister has called on all Liberians to embark on a unity campaign that will accelerate the national efforts and further guarantee success against the virus.

He said efforts being made by health practitioners in the country are commendable and will not go unnoticed as their courage sends a signal that the country will soon overcome the Ebola menace.
