Over 100 Motorcyclists Train In Robertsport
By D. Ignatius Roberts

ROBERTSPORT, Jan 24 (LINA) -The training facilitator of Rights and Rice Foundation (RRF), Mr. Eddie M. Giddings, has called on motorcyclists to respect the traffic laws of the country.

Mr. Giddings made the call on Thursday in Robertsport during the official opening of a two- day training workshop for more than 100 motorcyclists in the area.

He said the training workshop was organized by the RRF with sponsorship from the GIZ Natural Resource Governance, Road Transport and Infrastructural Sector.

Giddings said the workshop is intended to transform the commercial motorcyclist into a decent rider, because, he noted, motorcycles are contributing to the reduction of the unemployment rate in the country.

He said facilitators were drawn from health workers, Liberia National Police, Ministry of Youth and Sports, U. N. Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) and the Ministry of Gender and Development.

He told the Liberia News Agency that at the end of the workshop, the trainees will be provided helmets and reflector jackets to help protect them in the traffic.
