ROBERTSPORT, October 1(LINA) -An American non-governmental health organization, Global Communities Partners for Good, has donated three vehicles to the Grand Cape Mount County Ebola Task Force and trained its Burial and Disinfection Teams.
This was disclosed by the head of the County Health Team, Dr. Julius Garbo, at the county Ebola Task Force Coordination Meeting held in Sinje Town, Garwula District Wednesday.
Dr. Grabo said the training of the teams will enhance their capacity to perform their duties effectively and without fear of contracting the Ebola virus.
He said the Burial Team comprises nine members, while six persons make up the disinfection team.
Meanwhile, the medical practitioner has urged citizens of the county to report all suspected Ebola deaths for quick burial to avoid spread of the disease and confrontation between the county leadership and citizens.
He commended the US organization for training the burial and disinfection teams and providing three pick-ups to be used by the teams.
