By Ballah Kollie, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, September 26 (LINA) - The third witness in the murder case involving defendant Perry Mulbah has taken the witness stand at the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Bong County.

Defendant Mulbah was indicted by the Grand Jury during the August 2014 Term of Court for allegedly murdering his wife, Jenata Kpana, on July 25, 2014 in Lawward Town in Suakoko District, Bong County.

Taking the witness stand Thursday, Patrick S.N. Dolo, an officer of the Liberia National Police in the district, said defendant Mulbah on July 26, a day following the incident, admitted beating and kicking the victim in the stomach, a situation that led to her death on the same day.

He said following testimonies of eye witnesses and subsequent admittance by defendant Mulbah, he was charged with murder, a first degree felony and turned over to the court for prosecution.

Officer Patrick’s appearance will be followed by two other witnesses who will testify on behalf of the State.

Already, the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court presided over by Resident Judge A. Blamo Dixon has disposed of two cases during this sitting.

The other cases are a rape case involving Sheick Kanneh, who was convicted and sentenced on Wednesday September 16, 2014 to 10 years in jail and Otis Geh, who was convicted of murder and sentenced on Wednesday September 10, 2014 to 12 years in prison.
