BUCHANAN, September 25 (LINA) - The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Multi-Service Liberia (MSL) Inc. in Monrovia, Benson Garkpah Whea, has
donated several detergents and food items to the Grand Bassa Ebola Task Force.
The items donated include 20 bags of rice (25kg), 14 gallons of vegetable oil, 10 sacs cooking salt, 25 cartons Pop powder soap, 20 cartons Clorox, 20 cartons Chloride, 200 pieces of buckets with faucets and 25 cartons glucose biscuits.
Presenting the items to the Task Force in Buchanan City on Wednesday, Whea, who hails from Bassa, said he was happy to be back home to identify with families and friends in the fight to eradicate the deadly Ebola virus from Bassa in particular and Liberia as a whole.
Whea indicated to the Task Force that if they use the items for the intended purpose, he will lobby with friends from abroad to send more donations to the people of Grand Bassa County and the entire country.
According to Whea, he used the famous facebook social media network to appeal to friends across the world to help save Grand Bassa and its people from the Ebola virus, adding, “They raised the funds and today the friends of Benson have identified with affected communities in Grand Bassa.”
Receiving the items on behalf of the Task Force, Superintendent Etweeda Cooper thanked Whea and friends for the gesture and assured him that they will be distributed to affected communities in Buchanan.
