Grand Kru, Maryland Counties Sign Communiqué
By John Bropleh, LINA Maryland, Grand Kru Correspondent

HARPER, September 19 (LINA) -The Superintendents of Grand Kru and Maryland counties have signed a communiqué to restrict the movement of people between the two counties.

The communiqué was signed during a meeting held at the Pleebo City Hall in Maryland County Wednesday and comes in the wake of reports of suspected Ebola cases in the two counties.

Under the communiqué, it was also agreed that all sick persons be taken to nearby health facilities and not across borders to avoid the spread of the virus in the two counties.

The communiqué was signed by the Superintendents Elizabeth Dempster of Grand Kru and Nathaniel Toe of Maryland at the end of the meeting.

The meeting, which brought together the leaderships of the two counties, was intended to discuss coordination between Maryland and Grand Kru in preventing the spread of the Ebola virus.

At the meeting, security personnel in both counties were charged to restrict the massive movement of people between the two counties to avoid the spread of the virus, among others.
