BOPOLU, September 16 (LINA) - The United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) has donated a jeep to the Gbarpolu County Ebola Task Force to enhance its fight against the deadly Ebola disease in the county.
This was disclosed by the county health officer, Dr. Trokon Washington, during the recent weekly Ebola Task Force regular meeting.
Briefing officials of the Ebola Task Force in Bopolu, Dr. Washington said the jeep was presented through the intervention of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
He expressed the Task Force’s appreciation to UNMIL for the vehicle which, he noted, would enhance the work of the Task Force to respond to Ebola cases.
In a related development, the Ebola Task Force has directed that effective immediately, all persons wanting to travel from the county to Monrovia should wear long sleeve shirts or blouses, warning that any driver or motorcyclist violating this measure would be arrested and prosecuted.
