BUCHANAN, September 15 (LINA) – Grand Bassa University Students Union (GBUSU) has donated several items to the local Ebola Task Force for distribution to hospitals and clinics in the county.
Items donated include 21 buckets, five cartons of detergent and one carton of powder soap.
Making the presentation to the Task Force in Buchanan recently, Sagacious M. Gardoe, president of GBUSU, said students from Bassa in Monrovia are concerned about the Ebola outbreak and wish to identify with the county in this period of calamity.
According to the Liberia News Agency, Gardoe appealed to the Task Force to include students from Grand Bassa studying medicine and chemistry on the Force so that they can give back to the county that sponsored them in school.
“It is time that we contribute our expertise to kick this virus out of Grand Bassa,” he added.
Accepting the donation, Adonis Z. Greaves, Assistant Superintendent for Development and spokesman for the Task Force, thanked the students, and urged Gardoe to submit to the task force the names of 30 students in the field of nursing for consideration.
