Sacred Heart Clinic In Harper Threatens To Close Down
By John Bropleh, LINA Maryland County Correspondent
HARPER, September 15 (LINA) -The Sacred Heart Clinic in Harper, Maryland County has threatened to shut down if Ebola threatens its nurses.
Officer-in-Charge Sis. Edith Wallace issued the warning recently in Harper in an interview with the Liberia News Agency.
She said the clinic, which is open to the public daily during since the Ebola outbreak six months ago, is over-stretched by an influx of patients in the midst of limited drugs and equipment.
Sister Wallace, who complained of being marginalized by the County Health Team in the distribution of medical materials donated to the county for the use of all medical institutions, noted that her clinic continues to render services to citizens of the county in the midst of all this.
Meanwhile, she has appealed to the Government to always include private medical institutions in the distribution of donations of equipment and drugs for use by health facilities across the country.
