Rep. Gray Troubled By Delays In Patients’ Removal
By Calvin Brooks

MONROVIA, September 11 (LINA) -Montserrado County Representative Moses Gray has said that unless the National Ebola Task Force responds promptly to the calls of suspected Ebola patients, curbing the disease will last longer than expected.

He expressed fear that there are more than 50 suspected Ebola patients within his district who are yet to be moved to treatment centers due to delays by ambulances to respond to the calls of residents.

Gray made the appeal Thursday when some residents in his district stormed his home and setup road block early morning to ensure that the National Ebola Task Force picks up two suspected Ebola bodies from the Capitol Bye Pass Community.

He observed that as a result of delays by the National Ebola Task Force to respond to the calls of residents, some frustrated residents sometimes attack government officials to claim the required attention.

Representative Gray noted that the inability of the Task Force to respond promptly to calls is becoming worrisome for some residents whose relatives are sick or suspected of dying from the Ebola virus.

He also regretted the rejection of some suspected Ebola patients who volunteer to go to the Ebola Treatment Unit at ELWA due to lack of accommodation, saying these patients end up dying.
