By Richard Baysah, LINA Margibi County Correspondent

KAKATA, September 9 (LINA) - Five persons have survived the deadly Ebola virus in Margibi County, the Acting Margibi County Health Officer, Dr. Adolphus Yeiah, has disclosed.

Yeiah told the Liberia News Agency Sunday that Lawrence Tumbey, Kydny Kobbah, Jenneh Forbee, Moses Kolleh and Agustine Kollie were confirmed Ebola victims while under treatment at the C.H Rennie Hospital early August.

According to Yeiah, one of the patients, John Quaye, has since died of the virus.

Yeiah said Tumbey, a lab technician, Kobbah, a physician assistant, Kollie and Kolleh were treated at the ELWA Hospital, while Forbee was treated at the Duside Hospital.

He said all five received intensive treatment and were released from their quarantined areas at the ELWA Hospital in Paynesville and the Duside Hospital in Harbel, Margibi County last Thursday after doctors declared them Ebola free.
