BUCHANAN, September 7 (LINA) – The Bassa Branch of the ruling Unity Party (UP) has identified with the Grand Bassa Ebola Task Force through a donation of US$1,000 to help strengthen the fight to kick Ebola out of Bassa.
Making the presentation on recently, UP Branch Chairman Bill Davis said the ruling party is an integral part of the fight against the Ebola disease in Grand Bassa County.
“We have our own observation in this fight because as you know, we take great interest in this fight, because the failure of this campaign also means the failure of the Unity Party, that’s why we are more interested in this,” Davis said.
Receiving the donation, Superintendent Etweda Cooper thanked the Unity Party for the contribution.
“Everything is appreciated and it is quite necessary at this time that we continue our fight. Ebola yes, is a deadly disease but, I think if all of us join together, we will be able to halt the transmission of the virus in Grand Bassa County and Liberia as a whole,” she said.
