By Emmanuel Mondaye, LINA Gbarpolu County Correspondent
BOPOLU, September 4 (LINA) -The Gbarpolo County Ebola Task Force has received donations from two government entities to buttress its fight against the Ebola virus.
The office of Vice President Joseph N. Boakai and the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy donated a total of nine cartons of Clorox, 16 hand-washing buckets, six cartons of powder soap and a pack of protective gears, according to the Liberia News Agency.
Making the presentation, Assistant Minister of Lands and Mines, Williams S. Hines, said the donation is intended to help strengthen the Task Force in combating the Ebola disease.
Williams said all government ministries and agencies should join efforts to eradicate the Ebola disease in the country.
Receiving the items, a member of the Task Force, Trokon Washington, lauded the vice president’s office and the ministry for the gesture, adding that “the items came at the time when the Task Force was in need of them to fight the deadly Ebola disease.”
He assured the donors that the items would be used for the intended purpose and that even health facilities that are hard to reach would benefit from the donation.
