Pres. Sirleaf Makes Additional Appointments in Gov’t

MONROVIA, Jan 21 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has appointed the following officials to positions in government, pending confirmation by the Senate where applicable:

Those appointed are: Cllr. Seward Cooper, Chairman of the Board of Directors, National Oil Company NOf Liberia; Mr. Boima Kamara, Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Liberia and Ms Ciata Bishop, Director General, National Bureau of Concessions.

According to an Executive Mansion press release, also appointed are Mr. Kwame N. Ross, Deputy Executive Director, Liberia Refugee, Repatriation and Resettlement Commission (LRRRC); Mrs. Loris Shannon, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs; Mrs. Ade Jones Captan, Commissioner, Township of Congo Town and Mr. Yoquoi Vermon Lavala, Member of the Board of Directors, Liberia Water & Sewer Corporation replacing Mr. Chea Cheapoo.
