By Chris Nyenapee, Grand Gedeh Correspondent

ZWEDRU, Jan 20 (LINA) -The United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) Liberia has donated a consignment of assorted materials to build the capacity of the local office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Grand Gedeh County.

The Ministry’s County Coordinator Augustine Wulue named items received as 14 solar panels, a freezer, 100 plastic chairs, one diesel generator and 13 crates of soft drinks, among others.

Wulue said the items are meant to attract youths to ongoing activities for young people in the county under the UNICEF program called Right To Play.

He told the Liberia News Agency at the weekend that the management team has employed two persons to take care of the items, while one person has been employed as security to protect them.

Meanwhile, UNICEF Right To Play program is to shortly dedicate a peace playground for children in Zwedru at the youth center, Wulue said.
