By D. Ignatius Roberts, Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, Jan 20 (LINA) -The newly renovated market building has been dedicated in Vonzua Town, Garwula Statutory District in Grand Cape Mount County at a cost of over US$20,000.

The project was financed by the Finland-based SIM Church Aid organization and was implemented by the Sustainable Livelihood Promoter Program (SLPP).

The dedicatory ceremony was performed Saturday by an official of Church Aid, Madame Heidi Hautala, who is currently visiting Liberia.

She called on Liberians to formulate programs that would promote national development in the aftermath of the prolonged civil conflict.

Madame Hautala said their organization is prepared to participate in the development of Liberia to improve the living standard of its citizens.

According to Madam Hautala, Liberia will gain its pre-war status when Liberians are willing to work together for the betterment of their country

Also in remarks at the dedicatory ceremony, the Commissioner of Garwula Statutory District, Kaison Kaidii, thanked SIM Church Aid and its implementing partner Sustainable Livelihood Promoter for the market which, he said, will contribute to the economic empowerment of the marketers.

He called on the citizens to draw up a program that will enable them to carry out self-help programs that will contribute to national development.
