Commissioner Says ‘No Ebola Case’ In Dewein District

By David Seedee, LINA Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, August 19 (LINA) -The Commissioner of Dewein District, Bomi County, Foley Siryon, says there has been no suspected case of Ebola in the district since the outbreak of the disease in the county.

“Since the outbreak of the Ebola virus in Bomi County, no one has been infected in Dewein District because people are protecting themselves against the disease,” Commissioner Siryon told the Liberia News Agency Monday.

Siryon said chiefs and volunteer workers have been asked to disseminate preventive messages in their various towns and villages as a measure to protect the people against the disease.

Commissioner Siryon, however, lamented that the district has not received any preventive materials from the County Task Force.

He said the provision of the preventive materials lies with the County Task Force and the administration of the county.

Commissioner Siryon said while waiting for the preventive materials, the people are carefully observing the measures put in place by the Health Ministry to safeguard themselves.
