Firm Donates Fuel To Ebola Fight In Cape Mount

ROBERTSPORT, August 14 (LINA) –The Tawana Resources Mofee Creek Project (TRMCP) has donated 202 gallons of fuel to the Grand Cape Mount County Health Team (CHT) to help combat the spread of the Ebola virus.

The donation was made to County Superintendent Imam Mohammed A.Paasewe by the company’s representative, A. Boikai Kromah, during the County Ebola Task Force Coordination meeting held in Sinje, Garwula District on Wednesday, August 13.

Mr. Kromah said besides paying government taxes and honoring its social responsibility to the citizens, the firm deemed it necessary to contribute towards the fight against Ebola.

He said the contribution was the first in a series the company plans to make towards the fight against Ebola to help rid the country of the disease.

 In a related development, Medical Teams International (MTI), a partner to the County Health Team (CHT) has donated 200 gallons of fuel to the CHTin their joint battle against the spread of the disease.

The presentation was made by the MTI health manager of MTI, George Kaine, made the donation to the Director of the Community Department of the CHT, John Kallon, on Wednesday at his office in Sinje Town, Garwula District.

He said as a partner they are under obligation to empower health workers in the county to perform their duties with professionalism, commitment, honesty and dedication so that Ebola will be defeated.

Meanwhile, he is calling on citizens to work along with health workers so that the objective of containing the Ebola virus will be realized.
