Ebola Quarantine Center Under Construction In Bomi

TUBMANBURG, August 14 (LINA) –The Ministry of Health has begun construction of an Ebola Quarantine Center in Tubmanburg, Bomi County, the County Health Officer, Dr. Gabriel Logan, has disclosed.
Dr. Logan said when completed, suspected Ebola patients will be taken to the center for 24 hours before being transferred to Monrovia.
Speaking to the Liberia News Agency on Wednesday in Tubmanburg, Dr. Logan said within the 24 hours, specimens of the individuals will be sent to the laboratory in Monrovia.
Dr. Logan said infected persons who prove positive with the virus will be sent to Monrovia, while family members or individuals who came into contact with the Ebola positive patients will also be taken to the quarantine center for observation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Logan has disclosed that the County Health Team is presently training health care workers who will manage and treat victims of Ebola at the center.
Dr. Logan also disclosed that another group of health workers is being trained to bury Ebola victims.
