Businessman wants Ebola testing centers established around Liberia

By Calvin Brooks

MONROVIA, August 5 (LINA) - The Executive Director of the Liberia Small Business Association (LSBA) has called on the Liberian Government to establish Ebola testing center around the country to determine ailments.

Saah M. Kpakai pointed out that there are people dying from other diseases such as malaria, fever, and typhoid that are classified to be the Ebola virus when that seems to be the opposite sometimes.

He told journalists Tuesday that when people are tested at these centers, the actual cause of their sicknesses will be known, and they will be treated, while their fears will be allayed about having the Ebola virus.

He explained that while government wants all Liberians to join in the fight against Ebola, it is crucial that testing centers for Ebola be established in more communities to prevent the spread of the Ebola virus.

Kpakai said many people are dying in various communities which are not Ebola Virus, but there is no testing center so they are refers to as Ebola death which also is dangerous for the Liberian society.
