Three Counties Slate Ebola Meeting

By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, August 4 LINA) - A consultative meeting grouping the western counties of Gbarpolu, Grand Cape Mount and Bomi to plan strategies to contain the deadly Ebola virus takes place Wednesday in Sinje District, Grand Cape Mount County.

According to the Liberia News Agency, the Legislative Caucuses and heads of companies operating in these counties will be encouraged to participate in the meeting to pull all stakeholders on board.

In an interview with the Liberia News Agency at the weekend, the head of Grand Cape Mount County Health Team, Dr. Julius Garbo, said there is a dire need for citizens of the three counties to formulate plans that will promote Ebola prevention awareness in an effort to save lives.

Garbo added that the fight against the spread of the deadly virus should claim the attention of every Liberian and not the government alone.

He then admonished citizens of the three counties to buttress government’s efforts in the fight against the disease.

He called on health workers to utilize the dress code introduced by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare to avoid future embarrassment for the employees.
