Perry Withdraws From Cape Mount Senatorial Race

By D. Ignatius Roberts, Grand Cape Mount Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, July 29 (LINA)-One of the eleven candidates in the October Mid-term Senatorial election for Grand Cape Mount County has withdrawn from the race.

According to the Liberia News Agency, (LINA) correspondent in the county, Roland Musa Perry announced his withdrawal recently during a mass meeting in Tienii Town, Tewor District.

The former Senatorial aspirant said he was withdrawing from the race following series of consultations with family members and friends.

He told the Liberia News Agency that his withdrawal from the senatorial race does not mean that he will give his support to any candidate in the race.

The Liberian politician also said despite his withdrawal, he will execute his development plans in the interest of citizens of Grand Cape Mount County.

Meanwhile, Perry has admonished his supporters to vote for any candidate of their choice.

He however urged them to refrain from electing individuals based on sectional, tribal, religious and party affiliation, noting that a person who has the county at heart should be voted into office.
