Harper Residents Appeal For Adoption Of Mad Woman's Child

By John Bropleh, Maryland County Correspondent

HARPER, July 29 (LINA)-Residents of Harper in Maryland County have expressed concern about a one-year-old baby boy whose mentally deranged mother has been carrying him on her back from the day he was born…

The mother of the baby identified as Mako Williams who got pregnant for an unknown man, gave birth to the baby boy in the street.

According to the Liberia News Agency, the baby which has not been named since birth, is seen on his mother’s back everywhere she goes, even when it in raining.

The residents wondered how and when this mad woman who is believed to be about 30 years old, feeds and nurses her baby which appears healthy.

Mako who also carries a heavy load on her head everywhere she is seen, is being fed from handouts from people, especially marketers.

Meanwhile, the residents of Harper are appealing to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare to go to the rescue of the baby, which they said must be named and placed in the care of the Ministry.
