Aureau Mining Company Makes Donates Towards Ebola Fight

By D. Ignatius Roberts, Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, July 28(LINA) -The management of  Aureau Mining Company involved in mining in Grand Cape Mount County has contributed assorted materials to the  County Health Team (CHT) for use in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus.

This was disclosed by the county Assistant Superintendent for Development, Madame Tenneh Simpson Kpedebah, in an interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA) correspondent in the county recently.

She said since the outbreak of Ebola in the county, Aureau is the first company to make a meaningful contribution against the spread of the virus in the county.

According to Superintendent Kpedebah, materials donated include  plastic gloves, nose masks and other essential items used in the fight against the disease.

The local government official is meanwhile appealing to other companies operating in the county to emulate the good gesture of Aureau to empower the County Health Team (CHT) to perform its duty professionally in the interest of the citizens.

She said the county administration will lobby with Government and  health organizations in and out of the country to assist the county health Team (CHT) with equipment that will protect nurses and doctors involved in treating suspected Ebola patients.
