MONROVIA, July 23 (LINA) - Members of the House of Representatives have agreed to meet with the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) and the Ministry of Finance Thursday to discuss the newly-prepared work plan for the Oil Sector of Liberia.

The lawmakers reached the agreement on Tuesday in Session following the reading of a communication dated July 22, 2014 and signed by President Ellen Johnson- Sirleaf, requesting them to allow representatives of NOCAL and the Finance Ministry to meet with them, so as to obtain their views and guidance on the plan.

According to the Liberia News Agency (LINA), President Sirleaf in the letter said,” In a continuing effort to promote operations in petroleum exploration, the National Oil Company of Liberia has prepared a work plan that proposes the way forward toward the achievement of this goal”.

The President mentioned that similar request has been communicated to the President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Gbehzohngar Findley.
