Maryland Supt. Appeals For Cash Bank
By John Bropleh, LINA Maryland County Correspondent
HARPER, July 22 (LINA) - Acting Maryland County Superintendent Nathaniel Toe has appealed to Government to establish a cash bank in Maryland County as has been done in other counties.
Mr. Toe said this will help civil servants and others to cash their checks in the county.
In an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Harper recently, the acting County Superintendent noted that civil servants have faced embarrassment from time to time to cash their salary checks.
He observed that when a bank is established in the county, it will also help business people and individuals utilize other banking services as well as boost the economy of the county.
Meanwhile, Superintendent Toe is appealing to citizens not to refuse mutilated bank notes in their business transactions.
He told LINA that a lot of people complain about the rejection of torn bank notes, which is hindering business transactions in the county.
