Joint Security Up Night Patrols In Voinjama

By Korboi Gbelewala, LINA Lofa County Correspondent

VOINJAMA, July 22 (LINA) -In the wake of the recent increase in criminal activities in Voinjama, the provincial capital of Lofa County, police have launched joint security night patrols in the city.

Making the disclosure recently, the Chief of Operation of the Liberia National Police Lofa County detachment, Anthony Kollie, said the action by the joint security comes as a result of numerous complaints of criminal activities in Voinjama.

Mr. Kollie noted that the night patrols will last until the end of July.

According to the Liberia News Agency, the police official said since the operation begun several criminals have been arrested and charged for theft and other crimes.

In early July, armed robbers attacked the residence of Lofa County Development Superintendent Mrs. Krubo Jones Janger in Telbomai community, Voinjama city, and made away with several valuables.
