Pres. Sirleaf Hails France On Anniversary
MONROVIA, July 11 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has said Liberia and France will increase collaboration aimed at expanding and enriching their bilateral ties to the mutual benefit of both countries.
A Foreign Ministry release said President Sirleaf’s statement was contained in her congratulatory message to the Government and People of France on the occasion commemorating the 225th Bastille Day of France.
In the message to French President Francois Georges Hollande, the Liberian leader expressed “delight to convey warmest congratulations” to the French leader and people on the occasion of their anniversary.
“In commemorating this very significant day, may I also express my profound appreciation for the excellent and long standing bilateral relations subsisting between our two countries and peoples,” the President said.
President Sirleaf added that France remained supportive of the domestic peace and security as well as Liberia’s post-war recovery process.
She assured the French leader of Liberia’s commitment to work together with France for the attainment of global peace and prosperity and wished for President Hollande personal good health and for the People of France continued peace and happiness.
