Maryland Provides Land For Legal Aid Office

By John Bropleh, LINA Maryland County Correspondent

HARPER July 4 (LINA) - Maryland County authorities have provided a parcel of land for the construction of a Legal Aid office in the county.

The land was provided following a request by the Maryland County chapter of the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA).

The President of the local Bar, Cllr. Edwin Martin said when the office is constructed in Harper City it will render free legal services to people of the county.

He made the disclosure recently at the 4th Judicial Circuit Court in Harper, when he presented a consignment of office materials for the use of the county’s judicial offices.

Cllr. Martin thanked the county authorities for the land which, according to him, will help reduce congestion in prison cells through the rendering of free legal services to the people.
